Having been a coach for over 20 years, Alex got his start as a volunteer coach for AYSO.  He attributes his experience and growth to being a part of six different soccer league clubs in the San Diego and Chula Vista areas.  Alex developed a love for soccer from his father who played semi-professionally and coaching each of his two children, who are now young adults. Coach Alex has been fortunate to win Presidio twice, back-to-back, and numerous tournaments over the course of two decades. He finds joy in being able to keep in touch with his former players who have played or continue to play at the university and college levels, and often still finds time to provide private skills lessons and guidance to emerging soccer athletes.  Alex’s goal with ACA Sports Development Academy is to continue to pass on to the youth, a love and respect for the game of soccer and to give back to the community in any way that is possible. In his spare time, Coach Alex likes to work on model cars, play soccer and watch his former soccer students on the field.
